Today me, tomorrow you

” “First they came …” is a popular poem attributed to Pastor Martin Niem”ller (1892–1984) about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of their chosen targets, group after group. Although the precise origin of the poem is not known, Niem”ller stated[citation needed] he prefers the version as: First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist; Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist; Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew; Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me. ”

***Today me; tomorrow you. – Carl Segvich ..Please just think what you are doing. ….you only have a finite time left on this earth….in this life. Don’t you believe in the afterlife? What do you want to tell St.Peter that you did?
We only have a few years left, if that.
